Sale Price: $425.00 Original Price: $450.00

Meeting Times: Saturdays 9:30 AM - 1PM
*We will take an intermission over Thanksgiving weekend

Perfect starting point for anyone curious about painting and drawing at JPA!
This multi-disciplinary workshop brings together our most popular and transformative projects from across the atelier’s curriculum — from Drawing Marathon and Painting Intensive exercises to Transcription Challenges and color investigations. Over several sessions, participants will experiment with charcoal, oil, and mixed media to experience the breadth of our studio’s approach to perceptual image-making.

Each project introduces a key concept — from composition and rhythm to light, structure, and color resonance — helping you see how visual language connects across mediums. Guided discussions and art historical references will deepen understanding and context.

Perfect for newcomers curious about JPA’s teaching philosophy or regular students seeking a creative reset, this class offers a hands-on glimpse into the kind of artistic growth our full programs are known for.

All levels welcome. Materials may be borrowed from the studio for a $25 fee.
