Drop-in class (Materials included)
Unsure of whether or not JPA is a good fit for you? Are you not able to commit for a full duration of a workshop? Our drop-in class is the perfect opportunity to dip your toes and get a taste of our class structure. We will be able to offer acrylic for painting and charcoal for drawing. If you would like to experiment with any other painting or drawing mediums, please feel free to bring them along!
Classes are generally 3 -3.5 hours long, including set up, work flow, and discussion at the end. You’ll be working amongst a group of welcoming and down-to-earth individuals who are there to learn and have a good time. Our teaching approach is highly individualized, as reflected in our feedback and one-on-one check ins during work time.
When you purchase a pass, you’ll be asked a few questions regarding your preference for medium and availability. We will be in touch shortly after receiving your order and make sure you are well taken care of.
See what our previous participants say about the drop-in sessions:
“I took both the painting and drawing classes. Even though I wasn’t there long at JPA, I can truly say that both Jacob and Misa are truly compassionate people that genuinely care about my personal growth in art. I was initially burned out and stopped creating art for years. However they inspired me to pick up art again. I like that they created such a welcoming environment where I don’t have to strive for perfectionism. I can express myself that is uniquely me, while enjoying the process of creating art pieces. This experience was worth it, and I’m going to miss coming to JPA.” — Nicole T.
“I really enjoyed the workshop I took here--Misa and Jacob are so engaging and have created such a welcoming and safe space to explore and develop skills” — Sarah L.
